Legal Disclaimers
Important legal information regarding the purchase, transfer, and ownership of firearms from Carnimore. By engaging in any transaction with Carnimore, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth below.
Legal Compliance
Carnimore operates in strict compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing the manufacture, sale, transfer, and distribution of firearms. Carnimore holds all required Federal Firearms Licenses (FFL) and complies fully with all ATF regulations, reporting requirements, and record-keeping obligations. All transactions are conducted in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona and the United States of America.
Background Checks
All firearm purchases and transfers are subject to a mandatory background check through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) as required by federal law. Carnimore reserves the right to deny any sale or transfer at our sole discretion. A NICS denial or delay does not entitle the prospective buyer to a refund of any services already rendered in connection with the transaction.
Eligibility to Purchase
All customers must be legally eligible to purchase and possess firearms under federal, state, and local law. This includes but is not limited to:
- Meeting the minimum age requirement (21 for handguns, 18 for long guns under federal law; state law may impose higher requirements)
- Meeting all residency requirements applicable to the transaction
- Not being a prohibited person as defined under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g), including those convicted of felonies, certain misdemeanors, or subject to qualifying restraining orders
- Not being under indictment for a felony offense
- Not being an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance
Carnimore will not sell or transfer firearms to any individual who does not meet all applicable legal requirements. Misrepresentation of eligibility on ATF Form 4473 is a federal felony.
Identification Requirements
All purchasers must present valid, government-issued photo identification at the time of purchase or transfer. Acceptable forms of ID include a state-issued driver's license or ID card, U.S. passport, or military ID. Additional documentation may be required for certain transactions, including but not limited to:
- Proof of state residency for residency-restricted transfers
- State-issued firearms permits or licenses where applicable
- FFL license documentation for dealer-to-dealer transfers
- Trust or entity documentation for NFA item transfers
Firearm Transfers
All firearm transfers, including those facilitated through a third-party FFL dealer, must comply with applicable federal and state laws. Interstate transfers must be conducted through a licensed FFL dealer in the buyer's state of residence. Carnimore will not ship firearms directly to non-FFL individuals.
It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure their receiving FFL dealer is licensed and in good standing prior to initiating a transfer. Carnimore is not responsible for delays, additional fees, or refusals imposed by third-party FFL dealers.
Straw Purchases
A straw purchase — acquiring a firearm on behalf of another person who is either prohibited from purchasing or who intends to avoid the background check process — is a federal felony. Carnimore will refuse and report any transaction that appears to involve a straw purchase. Any individual who misrepresents the true buyer on ATF Form 4473 is subject to federal criminal prosecution.
Safe Handling & Storage
Carnimore strongly emphasizes the importance of safe firearm handling and secure storage. All customers are encouraged to:
- Treat every firearm as if it is loaded at all times
- Store firearms in a locked safe or secured container when not in use
- Use trigger locks or other safety devices to prevent unauthorized access
- Keep firearms inaccessible to minors and unauthorized persons
- Read and thoroughly understand all product documentation before use
Carnimore is not liable for any accidents, injuries, deaths, property damage, or legal consequences resulting from the improper handling, storage, modification, or use of any firearm after the transfer is complete.
Customer Responsibility
The customer is solely responsible for understanding and complying with all laws and regulations related to firearm ownership, possession, carrying, transportation, and use in their jurisdiction. Laws vary significantly between states, counties, and municipalities. Carnimore provides general information as a courtesy but does not provide legal advice. Customers are encouraged to consult a qualified attorney for questions specific to their situation.
Carnimore assumes no responsibility for a customer's failure to comply with applicable law following the completion of a transfer.
Liability Waiver
By completing a purchase or transfer with Carnimore, the customer acknowledges and agrees that Carnimore is not responsible for any misuse, negligent discharge, accidents, unlawful activities, injuries, deaths, or property damage involving any firearm after the transfer is completed and the buyer takes possession. The customer assumes all liability for the safe, lawful, and responsible use of the firearm from the moment of transfer.
Carnimore's liability is limited solely to the documented purchase price of the firearm involved in any claim. Under no circumstances shall Carnimore be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from post-transfer use or misuse of any firearm.
Custom Work & Modifications
Any custom work, modifications, or Duracoat finishing performed by Carnimore is done in compliance with applicable law. Customers are responsible for ensuring that any modifications requested are legal in their jurisdiction. Carnimore will not perform modifications that would result in an unregistered NFA item, render a firearm unsafe, or otherwise violate federal or state law.
Carnimore is not liable for any legal consequences arising from a customer's installation of aftermarket parts or modifications performed by third parties after our work is complete.
Returns Policy
All firearm sales are final. Returns and exchanges are not accepted once the transfer process is complete, except in cases where a documented manufacturing defect is identified and the applicable manufacturer warranty covers the defect. Return requests must be submitted in writing within the warranty period specified in the product documentation.
Non-firearm items (accessories, apparel, cleaning supplies) may be returned within 30 days of purchase in unused, original condition with proof of purchase. Custom-ordered accessories are non-refundable.
Export Controls
Carnimore strictly adheres to all applicable export control laws and regulations, including:
- International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), administered by the U.S. Department of State
- Export Administration Regulations (EAR), administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce
- OFAC sanctions requirements and restricted party screening
Carnimore will not export or transfer firearms, components, technical data, or services to any restricted party, embargoed country, or destination without required authorization. Violations of export control laws carry severe civil and criminal penalties. Customers attempting to facilitate unauthorized exports will be reported to the appropriate federal authorities.
